Cardinal Quest II (Beta)

Today on Indie Impressions we have a rare guest appearance by friend of the channel Rob a.k.a AlpacaPatrol! Cardinal Quest II is an upcoming rogue-like-like by developer Randomnine. The premise is not all that different from what you might expect from a procedurally generated RPG but everything is remarkably streamlined and generally quite accessible. There’s not much of any micromanaging your inventory – if you stumble on a new piece of armor (and there are a lot to find) you’ll be shown a comparison to your current equipment and if you prefer the new one, you just click a button and the old one is immediately sold and turned into gold. Of course there are a variety of spells and items to find as well as diverse environments to explore. All in all Cardinal Quest II is shaping up to be an outstanding little game with a ton of replay value. Looks interesting, really like the equip menu and loot images and the fog of war with shadow light effects as per environment…

But I didn’t think people will accept the character without animation? wow
